Autorenporträt
I studied writing at Southern Illinois University and University of Iowa. I currently live in Oregon with my husband and 2 dogs, Charlie and Murphy. I have been fascinated by the story of the Oregon Trail since I was a child growing up just outside of Chicago. It's one part of history that belongs to children as much as it does adults since 40,000 children made the journey from Missouri to Oregon. I started writing children's books years ago when my son was dealing with some temporary physical problems that caused him to experience things differently from other children. I wrote books for him and enjoyed it so much that I just kept writing and writing.
