Non-experimental research design was used to obtain answers to the research question. Data collected was analyzed using frequency and percentages. The study revealed high correlation between marital status and students performance in school. it was, therefore, suggested that the society should embrace cultural and religious value that protect the institution of marriage and couple should try as much as possible to tolerate and respect each other so that divorce rates could be reduce to the barest minimal
