Actually different types of these colorful creatures are closely associated with us and they play an important role directly or indirectly in connection with the well-beings of human particularly in pollination of different plants, ecosystem stability, and human use. These birds play a key role in agro-ecosystem and act as a bio-indicator of a particular area. Their body color and continuous fluctuating movement attract biologists to follow their natural behavior. We have also tried to search and identify different types of butterflies and birds in the Jhargram district inhabiting in the forest areas as well as in some local swampy areas and also in the water banks. This book emphasizes to aware local people to develop some basic knowledge about them and also to develop some keen interest about their habitat, behavior and biology to some extent so that they can be properly conserve in their natural habitat. This book has been written primarily to suit the students and research workers.
