L'auteur est originaire de Tangsibji, Trongsa, il a obtenu un diplôme en sylviculture au College of Natural Resources, RUB et a travaillé comme directeur d'unité au NRDCL, Bumthang. Il a ensuite obtenu une licence en foresterie (spécialisation en sciences de la conservation). Foresterie (spécialisation en sciences de la conservation) de la même université. Il travaille actuellement comme directeur de la division des ressources forestières, NRDCL, Thimphu.
