Autorenporträt
Eduardo Nahmad-Achar earned his B.Sc. in Physics and B.Sc. in Mathematics from the National University of Mexico, and later his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cambridge, UK. After working for several years in general relativity and gravitational physics at UNAM, he left to design and build, together with Adela Reyes, the Centre for Polymer Research (CIP). He was Founding Director of CIP and worked in physical-chemistry of liquid polymers, complex fluids, and artificial intelligence. Since his return to UNAM he has been working on quantum optics, relativistic properties of quantities in quantum information, and foundations of quantum mechanics.
He is the author of many scientific publications and has been invited to international conferences to talk about his achievements. He has lectured extensively at UNAM in various topics of physics and mathematics, including differential geometry, general relativity, advanced mathematics, quantum information, and quantum physics, at both graduate and undergraduate levels. In his spare time (when there is such a thing) he enjoys playing the flute.
