In order to attain sustainable health and active life, the nutritional status of the tribe under study was assessed through their general dietary patterns. Standard nutritive food intake was compared with that of recommended dietary allowances. Further, an attempt was made to notice and report the major nutritional deficiency disorders prevailing in the population and their health implications. In this regard appropriate suggestions were made to improve their nutritional status in order to maintain good health standard.

Dr. K. Bharathi, Guest Faculty in the Department of Anthropology, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Worked as Project Fellow in University Grants Commission Major Research Project during 2010-2013. She received Ph.D. degree in Anthropological Demography in the year 2012 from Andhra University. Published 5 international journals & 5 national journals.
