Professor Sandeep Saxena is chief of retina service, department of ophthalmology, King George's Medical University, Lucknow, India. He completed two one-year fellowships at Eye Institute, St Louis University and Barnes Retina Institute, St Louis, USA and New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, New York, USA. He is DAAD fellow, Bonn, Germany and has been a visiting fellow to Harvard and Oxford. He has been a visiting professor to several universities across the globe. He has over 150 publications in indexed journals, 25 textbooks and 4 classification systems to his credit. He has designed an instrument: Saxena Retina Grid-520 & 428, Ocular Instruments, USA. Professor Gemmy Cheung is currently professor, Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore, and head of the medical retina department, Singapore National Eye Center. She also heads the Retina Research Group at the Singapore Eye Research Instit^10book chapters, and has completed a number of clinical trials in anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapies in the capacity of principle investigator. Prof. Cheung has received a number of prestigious awards, including the APAO Outstanding Service in Prevention of Blindness Award (2013), the APAO Nakajima Award (2014) and Achievement Award (2017), the Young Investigator Award (Macula Society 2017), the AAO Achievement Award (2017), AAO Secretariat Award (2018), as well as the APVRS Constable lectureship in 2018. Professor Timothy Y Y Lai is currently a clinical professor (honorary) of the department of ophthalmology and visual sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and director of the 2010 Retina and Macula Centre, Hong Kong. His clinical and research interests lie in the medical and surgical management of retinal diseases, particularly polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy, choroidal neovascularization, central serous chorioretinopathy, myopic maculopathy, diabetic retinopathy; visual electrophysiology; and genetics of retinal diseases and uveitis. Prof. Lai has published more than 250 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and has a Scopus h-factor of 53. He has received a number of international awards including the Nakajima Award of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, Senior Achievement Award of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Achievement Award of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology. Prof. Lai serves on the editorial boards of various international ophthalmic journals including Retina, Eye, Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, Ophthalmologica and Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology, and was former editor-in-chief of the Hong Kong Journal of Ophthalmology. His other leadership roles include vice president of the Asia-Pacific Vitreo-Retina Society, and section chair of the International Ocular Inflammation Society. Professor Srinivas R. Sadda, MD, professor of ophthalmology at University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). He received his MD from Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed ophthalmology residency and neuro-ophthalmology and medical retina fellowships (Wilmer Eye Institute). Dr. Sadda's major research interests include retinal image analysis, advanced retinal imaging technologies, and clinical trial endpoint design. He has more than 600 peer-reviewed publications and 20 book chapters, and has given over 450 presentations worldwide. Dr. Sadda also serves as an editor-in-chief of Graefe's and is an editorial board member of Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers & Imaging, Retina, Ophthalmology Retina, Ophthalmology Science and Ophthalmology. Among Dr. Sadda's awards and honors are a Research to Prevent Blindness Physician-Scientist Award, a Senior Honor Award from theAmerican Society of Retina Specialists, an Achievement Award and a Secretariat Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology, John H. Zumberge Research and Innovation Award, the Macula Society Young Investigator Award, Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Achievement Award, The Macula Society Paul Henkind Lecture and Award, and American Society of Retina Specialists Young Investigator Award. He is also a gold fellow and trustee (retina) for the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He has been named to the Best Doctors of America list for several consecutive years.
