The traditional passive ways and tools to correct the drilling path have not met the demand to improve the techniques of deviation control yet. Auto-techniques have arisen to realize the rotational orientation as important mechanism support and as highly efficient equipment. In directional drilling it is impossible to match exactly the bit trajectory coinciding exactly with the planned path, which is depending on the direction of the resulting forces acting on the bit. For the best estimate of positional uncertainty it is tempting to differentiate minutely among tools type and models, bottom hole assembly design, geographical location and several other variables. This work contains new formulas, which mathematically define hole deviation; this is required for a complete working knowledge of spatial differences between the actual drill hole and the planned path of the wellbore. Finally, a new type of well design, which is entirely practical given the advent of steerable directional drilling tools, is introduced to address transitions between linear and curved hole sections. Hope the readers can find some effective and reliable means to solve their directional drilling, trajectory
