Much has been written on the question of development and environmental issues, but we still lack a complete and coherent account of the interplay of power and development in addressing environmental issues and challenges. Through case studies of the relation between development and the environment in the global south, and theorizing of the power dynamics of development organizations, this volume seeks to remedy that lack by putting forth a new vision for development and environmental justice and sustainability.
