Produktbeschreibung
Mozambique holds world-class reserves of natural gas and valuable minerals such as heavy mineral sands, with great potential for its industrialization and consequent economic and social development. However, the hydrocarbon and mineral resources processing industries are known as capital and energy intensive as well as highly environmentally aggressive industries. Thus, for the development of industries with the aforementioned characteristics it has been recommended process integration, which consists of a holistic approach to the design and optimization process, exploring the interactions between different production units in order to employ resources effectively and minimize costs. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to design an integrated project for reduction of heavy mineral sands from Chibuto using natural gas, to produce iron and titanium oxide and co-production of methanol and ammonia.
