Yirgalem Assefa Mengesha was born in West Harerghe Gelemso, Ethiopia, on February 2, 1980. He Studied Economics from 2007 to 2009 at Admas University. He received a BA in economics in September 10, 2009, and M.A in Population and Socioeconomic development planning from Adama Science and Technology University in July 3, 2014.
