The experience of many countries in Latin America and Asia (South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, etc.) shows that the first step towards a demographic dividend is a gradual and rapid reduction in fertility through investment in family planning, child health and girls' education. Today, any family planning policy aims to bring needy women into the use of modern contraceptive methods.Guinea still remains one of the countries with the lowest rate of modern contraceptive use in sub-Saharan Africa (11% , DHS 2018). Yet the country adopted a national population policy in 1992, revised in 1996 and 2018. It has been implementing several family planning programs for years. To improve the rate of use of modern contraception, it is necessary to identify the levers on which to rely. It was with this in mind that the present study was carried out, to enable Guinea to begin the process of achieving the Demographic Dividend.
