Providing systematic approaches to thermal systems design, Design and Optimization of Thermal Systems, Third Edition, delivers the guidance needed to solve design problems. It presents concepts and procedures for conceptual design, formulation, modeling, simulation, feasible design, and optimization. Emphasizing modeling and simulation, the Third Edition covers the areas of manufacturability, material selection, and sensitivity, genetic and gradient search methods, and knowledge-based design methodology. This edition also features many new and revised examples and problems, and coverage of computer design analysis with MATLAB.…mehr
