Water heating systems using solar energy is the predominant technology for exploitation of solar energy. Solar thermal conversion has higher conversion efficiency for domestic and industrial sectors. Dr. S. Jaisankar obtained his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. His expertise is in the area of solar water heaters through a Phd from NIT, Trichy. He has 30 journal & 20 conference publications, and a sponsored project from DST, India. He has visited Malaysia and Singapore for academic conclave. He has more than 15 years teaching experience.
