Malcolm Margolin is the founder and former publisher of Heyday and the cofounder of the quarterly magazine News from Native California. He is the author of The Ohlone Way: Indian Life in the San FranciscöMonterey Bay Area and The Way We Lived: California Indian Stories, Songs, and Reminiscences. The recipient of numerous awards and achievements, he is currently the executive director of the California Institute for Community, Art, and Nature. He lives in Berkeley, California.
