This book is for anyone who has survived trauma. May we all find healing and peace of mind. May we all realize our potential and show this world the beauty and the light within the human soul. I had always wanted to publish my poetry and drawings. My husband, who carted my tub of journals out to the moving truck and into every place we moved to, would tell me to just type them all into the computer. Steve, I am doing it, and this is proof. After retiring from my Jefferson County Public school system, I had time to research news items. Child trafficking and the children rescued from those situations, were on my mind. How could I forget them? I would dream of them or wake up thinking of them. I felt compelled to do something to help. I joined OUR or Operation Underground Railroad as a supporting member Tim Ballard and his staff rescue children from child traffickers around the world. I started reading books and podcasts by Cathy O'Brien, as adult survivor of trafficking and MK Ultra. Her testimony was so disturbing. However, her book PTSD: Time to Heal, was a font of information and became an inspiration for these poems and drawings. I wanted to help people like Cathy and her daughter, Kelly, and the millions of children, teens and young people who survived such tragic circumstances. I wanted to help them to heal and to find their own voices. I wanted them to rediscover their own beautiful natures.
