Mary E. Jucius is a retired school teacher who has always loved children and animals. She has a bachelor of science degree in education and a diploma in writing for children from the Institute of Childrens Literature in Redding Ridge, Connecticut. Larry Jucius is a retired sign painter and artist who had always loved to draw. He graduated from the American Art Academy in Chicago, Illinois. Both author and artist live in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. They are surrounded by the beauty of nature and wildlife. Daisy-Sue and Her Magical Spots was inspired by the visiting deer that wander onto their land. Daisy-Sue, the first deer to ever visit, was named in honor of their two daughters.
