D&DEPARTMENT PROJECT was established in 2000 by the designer Kenmei Nagaoka. D & DEPARTMENT PROJECT operates stores and restaurants, and publishes travel guides to reexamine the uniqueness of the 47 prefectures of Japan. Based on the concept of long-lasting design, our long-term goal is to establish retail outlets in each of the 47 prefectures of Japan. Each outlet will discover long-lasting designs produced in the local region.
