The aim of the current work to determine the association of the immunological and genetic factors in the risk of unexplained recurrent pregnancy miscarriage in Iraqi women population, specially to investigate the relationship between recurrent spontaneous miscarriage (RSM) and polymorphisms of cytokine genes coding for Interleukin-2 (IL-2) (-330 A C) and Tumor necrosis factor-alpha TNF- (-308 G A) as T helper-1 or pro-inflammatory factors as well as Interleukin IL -10 (-1082 A G) as T helper-2 cytokines in women with RSM compared with healthy women, and analyze the blood serum levels of these…mehr

The aim of the current work to determine the association of the immunological and genetic factors in the risk of unexplained recurrent pregnancy miscarriage in Iraqi women population, specially to investigate the relationship between recurrent spontaneous miscarriage (RSM) and polymorphisms of cytokine genes coding for Interleukin-2 (IL-2) (-330 A C) and Tumor necrosis factor-alpha TNF- (-308 G A) as T helper-1 or pro-inflammatory factors as well as Interleukin IL -10 (-1082 A G) as T helper-2 cytokines in women with RSM compared with healthy women, and analyze the blood serum levels of these cytokine , where the prevalence of three known promoter polymorphisms in Iraqi women with RSM will be determined and compared to healthy controls Specific objectives 1. To calculate the percentage for etiology factors in women patients with recurrent spontaneous miscarriage and enrolled the unknown cases. 2. To measure mean serum level of interleukin (IL-2, TNF- , IL-10) for women with recurrent spontaneous miscarriage and compare it with that in the control group. 3. To investigate genotype and allele frequencies of TNF- (-308 G A), IL-2 (330 A C), and IL-10 (-1082 A/G), IL-2_-330 A/T) and TNF- (-308 g/a) and RSM in Iraqi women.
