In this paper we analyze the current knowledge of the genus Hymenochaete (Hymenochaetales, Agaricomycetes), through an analysis of published works in the fields of systematics, ecology and distribution, with emphasis on Mexican species. We consider important to highlight that although Mexico occupies the first place in reported species, there are no morphological works to date, nor articles that integrate morphological, ecological and molecular information, as researchers He and Dai (2012), from China (second place in reported species), Parmasto et al., (2014) and Wagner and Fischer (2002)…mehr

Produktbeschreibung
In this paper we analyze the current knowledge of the genus Hymenochaete (Hymenochaetales, Agaricomycetes), through an analysis of published works in the fields of systematics, ecology and distribution, with emphasis on Mexican species. We consider important to highlight that although Mexico occupies the first place in reported species, there are no morphological works to date, nor articles that integrate morphological, ecological and molecular information, as researchers He and Dai (2012), from China (second place in reported species), Parmasto et al., (2014) and Wagner and Fischer (2002) have done, where they include species from all over the world. In Mexico we have not had the opportunity to know our fungal diversity in integrative works, which will surely result in the sustainable management of our ecosystems. This study should be very useful for professionals in the fields of ecology, botany and conservation biology.
