I wrote this book for you! You should really read it. With all the negativity and strife in our world that seems to take the limelight and garner all the attention, I find it inspiring that there are still reasons to feel good and positive and hopeful about life. I wrote this book for you! You should really read it. With all the negativity and strife in our world that seems to take the limelight and garner all the attention, I find it inspiring that there are still reasons to feel good and positive and hopeful about life. I once heard it said that no matter how dark the night, it must yield to the light of morning. So while we as the collective humanity grapple with the many challenges and struggles that come our way, I take time to remember the good and to meditate on the light that shines even in dark places and it is that light that will eventually triumph, and we know that it is also that light that will guide us like the candle in the window on a stormy night or the lighthouse on the hill that brings the sailor home. I wrote this book for three reason. First, as a counterbalance to the many situations in life that can so often rob us of our joys. Every life has some of these situations but when we know that these are temporary and are only a part of the whole life equation, we can always look to better days particularly when we begin to move in a more positive direction. Secondly, to help that person, that one person who just needs a little guidance and who may be on a great path but needs some encouragement or some pointers looking at what has worked for others in similar situations. You are never alone, and there is no sin or trouble that is unique to only one man or woman. We are all struggling with something and if one person can overcome (and they have) so can you. And, thirdly, to give honor to those people in my own life who poured so much of their own lives and their own goodness into me, and whose legacy I am. To them I reaffirm that your sacrifices and your counsel were not in vain. Though the road has been long and fraught with difficulties and setbacks, the seeds that you have sown bear fruit.
