A native of Durham, N.C., James Edward Osler II is an experienced artist, eduscientist, entrepreneur, researcher, statistician, teacher, and technologist. He accepted his call into the ministry in 2014. He is an active member of North East Baptist Church where he serves in many capacities. He is also a tenured full professor in the School of Education at North Carolina Central University (NCCU). Osler has authored an abundance of influential refereed international journal articles, books, and papers. His current research agenda primarily consists of the three main topics they are: (1.) "Applied Educational Science"; (2.) "Innovative Measurement Methodologies"; and (3.) "Ergonomic E-Learning Engineering". He is licensed in the following areas: The Gospel Ministry (Preaching), Art Education (Secondary), and Instructional Technology Specialist: Computers (Graduate Level). He is a certified Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) and is also a certified Entrepreneurial Mindset Facilitator with additional certifications in Digital Literacy, Research, and Visual Programming. Dr. Osler has served on multiple international journal editorial referee review boards and has created and authored several graduate-level certificate and degree programs. North Carolina State University (NCSU) has recognized him as one of its 100 Most Influential Black Alumni. He has received four of the highest and most respected honors at NCCU: "The Employee Recognition Award for Outstanding Service"; "The University Award for Teaching Excellence", "The Faculty Senate Award for Outstanding Scholarly Achievement"; and the first "Chancellor's Award for Innovation". He is also the recipient of three national awards for both his research and his service to the community: An Award from The National Council for American Executives; The IGI Global Outstanding Scholars Award; and The Church of GOD in Christ-Black History Achievement Award.
