Meanwhile, on Earth in 1960, a boy named Ren discovers two nests while exploring near a lake. His veterinarian father takes an interest in them and brings them to his facility for further investigation. Ren initially fears that they are UFOs capable of body-snatching, but his fears dissipate when the creatures within the nests hatch and reveal themselves as intelligent and adorable beings reminiscent of rare puppies. The story sets the stage for a thrilling adventure as the Dragonors, Mejuarian, and Arvunglies unite to confront challenges, form alliances, and recover the missing mewlings. The merging of different races and their shared quests add depth and intrigue to the narrative.
