"Shalini Khare is a Fulbright alumna and an ex Kendriya Vidyalaya teacher (TGT English)who took voluntary retirement in October 2018. A freelance journalist, an amateur singer, an anchor she has written for ' Deccan Chronicle' Newspaper, sung on radio and hosted television and stage shows.Apart from this she is an animal activist and runs a small dog shelter called, "" Karuna Animal Care Center.""""Corona - The Brighter Side"" her first book is a collection of five short stories based on true happenings during the lockdown period.She is the proud recipient of the prestigious ' Fulbright Scholarship' and was deputed to USA under ""Teacher Exchange Programme"" in the year 2008 where she taught English in Horizon High School at Scottsdale in Phoenix, Arizona for five months.Her stories are brief pen portraits of the life in these Corona times, and focus is on the positive fallouts of the pandemic, thus proving the adage that ' every gray cloud has a silver lining.'"
