Carla Hill is a retired Head Start preschool teacher in Fresno, CA. with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She has been an early educator for over 20 years and has enjoyed reading to children for over 30 years, including her own three children: Tate II, Paul, and Candice (now adults), her grandchildren, and her foster children. Carla and husband Tate, an educator for over 40 years, know from personal experience the importance of early reading for children. She taught her three children to read before kindergarten. Her two sons were Head Start students: Tate has a master's degree in Economic Development, Paul has a BS in Education and is a police detective, and Candice is a certified paralegal with an AA in Recreational Leadership. Their introduction to reading came before kinder and was a key factor in their educational success!Carla's documented expertise is in teaching young children from 3 to 5 to read.
