This book provides a systematic approach and application of the finite element method, during research carried out for the analysis of jaw crushers. This self-contained book will enable the reader to obtain a clear understanding of the concepts involved in this traditionally complicated methodology and step-by-step analysis. In this book, a computational analysis of one machine element is discussed. A Double toggle jaw crusher is used for analysis using the Finite Element method with the application of a computer algorithm encapsulated in a finite element package named Pro-Mechanica. The failure of the swing jaw is seen in the condition where the jaw was not allowed to swing. The swing jaw is analyzed in the elastic range (followed by hooks law) of its construction material. The high-stress zones are found where the failure is usually seen in the swing jaw.
