Currently there is a constant expectation of blackouts due to the eternal recession and insufficient investments in infrastructure in Brazil. Moreover, in a vicious cycle, this same lack of investment and adequate tax policies drastically damages the country. Thus, in a path similar to the one planned by the German industry to regain competitiveness, this research project proposes the implementation of a pilot system for the manufacture of mechanical components and assembly of photovoltaic cell panels for solar energy generation along the lines of Industry 4.0. In Brazil, the time is very ripe for development due to the high demand for energy, the latent need for economic recovery in the sector, and the current high dollar exchange rate. This last condition has partially restored competitiveness to some of the country's industrial sectors and, together with the new Manufacturing 4.0 business model, may recover several others. Moreover, the research still has the potential to offer several other beneficial results.
