In the recent past, emphasis has been given on the importance of pest management involving a sound knowledge of ecology of the pests. One of the important components in pest management is microbial suppression of insect pests, employing pathogens such as bacteria, fungi, viruses etc., and their compatibility with chemical pesticides, apart from combination of pesticides.

Dr.Ch.Raja Goud is currently working as a Assistant Professor in Department of Entomology, College of Horticulture, Rajendranagar,Dr.YSRHU, Hyderabad. He studied his Ph.D in ANGRAU with specialization in Insect Toxicology. He has contributed more than 20 research papers in national and international journals besides academic lab manuals.
