Produktbeschreibung
This book is based on my Master's thesis "Comparative Study on German and Chinese Language & Culture Promotion Institutes - Goethe Institute and Confucius Institute" which I handed in on 9 July 2014 to achieve my Master's degree in the major European Culture and Economy at Ruhr-University Bochum in Bochum, Germany. As the formation of the global village goes on, more and more people are learning foreign languages among which are German and Chinese. Many institutes are established to better promote the language and culture of their countries. The Goethe Institute has a much longer history than the Confucius Institute, however the latter is developing much more quickly and has set up more local institutes than the former. Isn't it an interesting phenomenon? So I chose the topic of comparison on the two institutes in my Master's thesis. In the book, several aspects of the two institutes are compared, like their self-images and concepts, the relationship between them and their governments, the background of their foundation, their purposes and tasks, their organization, development and so on. If you want to know more about this theme, just open the book and read about it.
