Her work is centred around reading and language acquisition ¿ including in early years setting ¿ in Africa, the Caribbean, India and the Middle East and has included training for teachers who work in multilingual classrooms, and those who work with large classes of mixed-ability learners. She began life as a teacher, and remains passionate about education.
