"Candice Burrows is a children's book author from Nassau, Bahamas. Born and raised in The Bahamas, she traveled to Canada for higher education before returning home to enter the hospitality industry. Writing has always been a creative outlet for her""a way to explore her own feelings and observations about life. She draws inspiration from everyday interactions with her children, family, and down-home island living. In 2011, Candice wrote her first book, Porkchop Learns to Sign, inspired by her desire to communicate with her eldest daughter using baby sign language.
