Coastal environment are endowed with numerous resources but under and over exploitation of these resources put pressure on coastal environment. So it is essential to identify and assess the resources of each and every unit of the coastal zone to ensure their optimum utilization for livelihood sustainability. The study gives a view of the coastal natural resources and their extraction, production and consumption with development framework. There was ignorance in resource users of coastal ecosystems, but they do have traditional knowledge on resources utilization. Therefore, the revitalization values and formation of effective environmental protection policies is required to improve and implement the integrated approach for resource utilization, conservation and livelihood sustainability.
