Roy Heizer grew up in Danville, Kentucky. He is a certified plant professional in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Roy gives classes and lectures on gardening, history, and folklore. His wife Nancy, a Savannah native, has been an avid photographer for many years. This is their fourth book together.
