This books first defines cloud and then describes various aspects like cloud patterns and the role of a cloud broker. The core of the book is the discussions of contract aspects, service documents, service design, risks, SLA's and cloud governance. In order to allow readers to get started with Cloud SLA's, the book also includes checklist of the following documents: Underpinning Contracts (UC), Service Level Agreement (SLA), Document Financial Agreement (DFA), Document Agreement and Procedus (DAP), External SpecSheets (ESS) and Internal Specsheets (ISS).

Drs. Ing. Bart de Best RI is vanaf 1985 werkzaam in de ICT. Hij heeft voornamelijk bij de top 100 van het Nederlandse bedrijfsleven en de overheid gewerkt en auteur van onder meer Acceptatiecriteria, Cloud SLA, Beheerarchitectuur en nog diverse andere titels. Ruim tien 12 jaar vervulde hij functies in alle fasen van de systeemontwikkeling, inclusief exploitatie en beheer. De laatste 14 jaar heeft hij zich toegelegd op het service management-vakgebied en vervult hij alle aspecten van de kennislevenscyclus van service management, zoals het schrijven en geven van trainingen, het adviseren van beheerorganisaties bij de inrichting, het verbeteren of uitbesteden van het beheer; het examineren van service managers en het reviewen en auditen van beheerorganisaties. Hij is op zowel HTS-niveau als universitair niveau afgestudeerd op het beheervakgebied.
