The book has been completely revised and expanded since its first edition in 1989 to reflect the significant advancements made in small-bowel imaging over the last decade. This second edition is organized into 23 chapters. The first section consists of three chapters that review the basic anatomy, pathophysiology, and immunology of the small intestine. These chapters are easy to read and include numerous graphs and line drawings that clarify complex topics such as absorptive physiology. The next 10 chapters are dedicated to imaging techniques.
