David Thomas, PhD (1983) in Islamic Studies, University of Lancaster, is Emeritus Professor of Christianity and Islam at the University of Birmingham. Among his most recent works are CMR vols 12-14 and 16 and 17 (Brill, 2009-21). John Chesworth, PhD (2008) in Religious Studies, University of Birmingham, is Research Officer for Christian-Muslim Relations. A Bibliographical History 1500-1900 at the University of Birmingham. He has published on Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa and Europe, and co-edited The character of Christian-Muslim Encounter (Brill 2015) and CMR vols 6-14, 16 and 17 (Brill, 2014-21).
