Kurth Krause is the author of My 36 Years in Space: An Astronautical Engineer's Journey through the Triumphs and Tragedies of America's Space Programs. As one of America's space pioneers, he lectures on his role designing guidance and navigation software for the Apollo Guidance Computers, his life among the Apollo astronauts, and in Houston Mission Control during the first landing on the moon. He earned a double major in mathematics and physics at the University of Wisconsin and attended graduate school at MIT, the Stanford Executive Institute and the UCLA Graduate School of Management. He lives in Southern California with his wife, Susan.
