Gonçalo Santos is auxilliary professor of socio-cultural anthropology at the University of Coimbra, and associate professor in the Institute of Social Anthropology at Nanjing University. He is the coeditor of Transforming Patriarchy: Chinese Families in the 21st Century (University of Washington Press, 2017) and Chinese Kinship: Contemporary Anthropological Perspectives (Routledge, 2009).
