Takeshi Hamashita is Professor in the Faculty of International Communications at Ryukoku University, Japan and Professor in the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at Sun Yat-sen University, China. Mark Selden is Research Fellow on the East Asia Program at Cornell University, USA and Coordinator of the Asia Pacific e-journal Japan Focus. Linda Grove is Professor of History in the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Sophia University, Japan.
