Dante Racioppo loves art and adventure! While attending a specialized art school, his work was displayed at various galleries, including the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). During those years, he was introduced to plasticine art, and started to formulate the idea of Cherry Berry.In January 2017, Dante's life would be forever changed when he and his girlfriend (now wife) were victims of a hit-and-run car accident, leaving Dante with near-fatal physical injuries and a traumatic brain injury. This required him to be placed into an induced coma for a time. He struggled with his new limitations, enduring surgery after surgery and rigorous pain. His family, friends, and girlfriend's constant presence was a saving grace. With their support and his determination, he was able to stay optimistic as he came to accept his new life.As part of the years of rehabilitation therapy that followed, Dante immersed himself in creating Cherry Berry. The project was an intense challenge to his physical and cognitive functions, but it became the most valuable brain exercise in Dante's progression!He had a successful Kickstarter campaign in the fall of 2021 for Cherry Berry with the help of his wife, family, and therapists-combined with tremendous community and friend support.Dante now lives with his wife, daughter, and birds-including Toto the feisty blue budgie-in Toronto, Canada. He loves to compose and play piano music with his daughter, and you can always catch them reading children's books in the mornings. Evenings are filled with outrageously long walks with his family or begging them to play strategic-thinking board games. He enjoys the challenge of rock climbing, archery, and candy-making.
