Curt J. Robinette is a career Navy man, including 27 years as a Navy contractor in Information Technology. An interest in family history led to the discovery of his grandfather's brother Hiram who served as a cavalryman in the Civil War. Twenty plus years of continuing discovery of interesting information led to a perceived obligation to tell Hiram's story. Golfing, bowling and drinking beer fell by the wayside in the effort to 'get 'er done'. Curt is also the editor of The NEW Nelsonville Tribune which is a Facebook page dedicated to memories of growing up in our hometown of Nelsonville, Ohio. Twenty-two hundred participating members contribute to a weekly published (but not printed) newspaper. Work has additionally begun on a second novel involving Hiram's family and living in southeastern Ohio in the 1800s.
