This book is intended for the Scientific Community, Medical Students and people interested in infection and infection control. Cholera afflicted and continues to afflict millions of people every year in Africa and Ghana, especially but virulence nature, antibiotic resistance patterns and the changing nature of the biotypes are often overlooked in many studies. This book describes the genetic fingerprints of the isolates, the biotypes, serotypes, and and the virulent genes associated with the pathogenicity of Vibrio cholerae that afflicted Ghanaians in a large outbreak in 2014.
