The book describes a graduate research project in which the author entails experimental methods and designs of characterising two important cell cycle regulators, cohesin and separase, in the eukaryotic pathogen of Trypanosoma brucei. It contains some essential protocols of molecular and cell biology techniques with details than can be easily repeated in closely-related research laboratories studying molecular parasitology; such as in situ hybridisation, flow cytometry, transfection and microscopy.
