Classroom management is an important aspect of teaching learning process. Management is a process of integrating resources and responsibilities towards the accomplishment of stated goals. Classroom management continues to be a serious concern for teachers and especially in diverse learning environments. The study was designed to look into the challenges of classroom management by the teachers in various Colleges and Universities of United Arab Emirates. Objectives of the study were to examine classroom management practices at College and University level. The authors conclude the discussion with implications for teachers and researchers. Participants of the study consisted of 120 teachers. The tool used in the study was Classroom Management Survey (See Appendix). It was concluded that classroom environment was generally satisfactory. The study recommended that a democratic environment may be encouraged in the classroom as it has an important impact on teaching-learning process.

Mohd Ahmad Khan and Mohammed Azhar Hussain are currently working as a Lecturer in English Language Teaching (ELT) and Human Resource Management respectively at Syscoms College, Abu Dhabi, UAE. They have many years of experience in teaching and industry in India and abroad. They also have a number of international publications to their credit.
