"His light broke through the darkness and he led us out in freedom from death's dark shadow and snapped every one of our chains." -Psalm 107:14 (TPT) Casey Cassady is a young woman who overcame a lifestyle of partying, alcohol, promiscuity, and toxic relationships. When God called her out of this lifestyle, Casey began using her new life, new future, and new passions to help other women in their 20s and 30s find their way out of the brokenness and bondage they were never meant for. Determined to live free from her past, she uses poetry, prayer, and the word of God to draw us deeper into the healing process so we can let go of the feelings of rejection, shame, guilt, and regret. Chain-ged: Finding Freedom in Christ through Poetry, Principles, and Prayer is an artistic, soulful, and authentic work that teaches us who God is, the truth of His character, and why we can trust Him with our fractured souls. Casey shows that spiritual healing and personal growth are possible when living from a place of surrender to God and His purpose for your life. He will help you find your way to a deeper revelation of yourself and the beautiful future ahead of you. Each chapter presents a poem, principle, practice, and prayer designed to help you work through your thoughts, emotions, new knowledge, and how you might respond. This motivational book for women is helpful for healing the body, spirit, mind, and soul. "The process of healing and growing into who God intentionally created you to be is not an easy journey. But the more you are able to surrender to God and allow Him to transform your mind, your heart, and, ultimately, your life, every step forward with Him, the good and the not-so-good, will be worth it in the end." -Casey "It is a special gift to help women gain the healing they need, all while ending the identity crisis so many of us have or had." -Jennifer Mason, Founder of "Single Lady Notes" on Instagram, Author of Good Girl, Gone Bad, Gone Holy "Chain-ged is beautifully written, an honest display of God's love for us through poetry. It's an uplifting work of encouragement for every soul." -Dawn Adams, Women Who Pray Ministries "The incredible combination of poetry, prayer, and powerful scriptural declarations in this book really help you to understand God's plan while keeping your heart and mind focused on Him!" -Indira Newallo, The Apostles Ministries
Autorenporträt
Casey Cassady was born and raised in Fresno, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from CSU Fresno, as well as an Emergency Medical Technician certification from Fresno City College. These two programs together led her into the medical field, which she still works in today. In 2015, Casey moved to Sacramento, CA, and re-dedicated her life to Christ and began an intimate spiritual journey that she never knew to be possible. As God continued to develop her in her relationship with Him, Casey found herself passionate about her newfound calling toward ministry. She quickly became involved and served in several different ministries, such as Young Adults, Evangelism, Deliverance, Prophetic, and Women's Ministry. Inspired by her leadership experience, as well as meeting divine contacts who God used to encourage and challenge her in her calling, Casey began writing "Chain-ged," so that God could use her to help others through her poetical testimony, wisdom, and gift of exhortation. Casey has also began working with a music and video producer to create spoken word video content for some of the poetry in this book (which you can find on her YouTube page). Casey is also currently pursuing a Master's degree of Christian Ministry with Oral Roberts University. She plans and prays for "Chain-ged" to be the first books of many, as a part of her future "Finding Freedom in Christ" book and poetry series. She now resides in Fresno, California."As I reflect back to who I was before I wholeheartedly gave my life to Christ, and even in my more recent painful seasons, I know that even I needed someone to tell me the things that I have written in this book earlier on in my life. I hope that by being obedient to the godly assignment of writing this book, you are given everything you need in order to powerfully find hope, healing, wholeness, identity, transformation, and purpose in Christ."
