Written and compiled by author Brian C. Collins, Cedar Falls covers the early history of this city, from its founding by William Sturgis in 1845 to the year 1925. The photographs in this volume, borrowed from the archives of the Cedar Falls Historical Society, focus on the city's lively commercial and social life and chronicle the forces that shaped the city. A number of historic images contained in this work have never been viewed by the public.
