J. Steven Kelly Professor Steve Kelly is Director of the Kellstadt Marketing Center which offers continuing professional education in mobile, digital, interactive, data-driven and social media marketing. Original course designs include: Multichannel Marketing Communications Certificate (MC2), the Interactive Marketing Certificate, and the Mobile Marketing Certificate program. The Center offers over 25 classes in marketing including research, branding, CRM, Business Writing, Presentation Skills, Internet Marketing. Dr. Kelly also takes an active role in helping the professional students manage their careers. DePaul's Marketing Internship Program, founded by Kelly in 1989, the first in the University, offers internships all four quarters of the year to both undergraduate and graduate students. He was also co-founder of the University Internship Program (UIP) founded in 2000. Recently U.S. News reported that DePaul is #2 in the nation in terms of number of internships and in the top ten for percent of students participating in internships as part of total enrollment. For over 20 years Dr. Kelly and Susan K. Jones have directed the Jacobs & Clevenger Case Writers' Workshop at the annual Research Summit by EDGE. This event takes place in a different city each year and involves faculty and marketing professionals sharing their ideas on marketing communications challenges. Together, Kelly and Jones have produced "The IMC Handbook: Cases and Readings in Interactive Marketing Communications," Racom Publishing, in its 3rd edition. Professor Kelly was awarded the Robert B. Clarke "Outstanding Direct Marketing Educator Award" from the Direct Marketing Association and the Charles Downs "Direct Marketer of the Year" from the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing. Dr. Steven Kelly received his D.B.A. in Marketing from Kent State University, M.B.A. in Management from Ohio University and B.A. in Math from DePauw University, in Indiana.
