This study explores the experience of Ugandan women academicians in universities in Uganda. Specifically it provides the contributing factors towards the career development of Ugandan women academicians. Women develop their career amidst challenges, and the study highlights coping strategies to these challenges.

Amina studied at Kibuli demonstration school, Kibuli secondary school and joined Makerere University for her Bachelor of Arts with Education degree and later master of Education in Educational foundations and management. She went for her PhD education at International Islamic University Malaysia.
