Autorenporträt
Gustav Nielsen is an independent transportation expert and former senior research planner at the Institute of Transport Economics, Norwegian Centre for Transport Research in Oslo, Norway. He is a recognized researcher, planner and lecturer in the field of environment-friendly transport, public transport and urban planning in Scandinavia. He has worked on national, Nordic and European projects, such as HITRANS, as researcher and research leader, consultant and advisor to central and local governments, and the private sector. His main professional interests include high quality public transport network planning and design, sustainable transportation development, and sustainable public and environment friendly transport and urban planning. He is the co-author of two books for the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, Switching Points For Seamless Public Networks: Advice on Planning and Design, and 79 Tips For the Development of Public Transport in the Regions.
