This beautiful book depicts the wonderful gingerbread cottages, Victorian chapels, and bantam bungalows of this popular New Jersey resort. Learn about the grand hotels, disastrous fires, President Harrison's scandal, religious revivals and camp meetings, the Country Club, and, of course, the devastating storms. Includes Cape May Point's immediate neighbours: the old Life Saving Station, Sunset Beach, the New Jersey State Park, the former South Cape May, the Lighthouse, and Higbee's Beach. For anyone who's ever been, this is a nostalgic journey for everyone else, an excellent guide.
